Canada Post Strike FAQ - UPDATED
UPDATE December 23rd: With Canada Post currently back to work, we have now resumed our Free Letter Mail and Reduced Rate Letter Mail options for TCG singles orders. We have returned the order value thresholds to normal.
We will continue to ship your orders to you as quickly as possible, using alternate carriers for the duration of the strike. Unfortunately at this time we expect there to be longer delivery times for all orders, regardless of carrier. Please be aware we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes at this time. As more information becomes available we will update this page.
November 25th Update: Some couriers are seeing delays with pick ups due to an increase in volume. You may see a delay with tracking updates once your order confirmation has been sent.
November 15th, Canada Post and the CUPW announced they could not reach a negotiated settlement for Canada Post workers. You can read Canada Post's statement here:

Below are some of the questions we anticipate you having and our plans and policies for the duration of the strike.
Q: How will you be shipping orders during the strike? Should I expect delays?
Orders made with our regular expedited shipping option will be shipped via UPS. Longer delivery times are expected during the strike due to increased volumes for UPS.
Q: Will I still be able to ship orders with the Letter Mail shipping option?
We have suspended our Free Letter Mail and Reduced Rate Letter Mail options for the duration of the strike. We have lowered our threshold for free tracked shipping on TCG singles orders to $75 while letter mail delivery is not an option.
Q: My order is already in the mail, what is going to happen to it?
Orders currently out for delivery with Canada Post will be delayed during the national strike. They will be delivered as quickly as possible on a first-in, first-out basis once operations resume.
Q: One of my orders was placed for shipping but hasn't been fulfilled yet. Can I change my delivery method to in-store pick-up?
We will do our best to switch delivery method for any order that has not been picked up but some orders may not be retrievable for our shipping team. Send any request for change of delivery method to us via email at shipping@401games.ca with the order number and preferred location for pick-up.
Q: Can I request an alternate shipping method (FedEx, CanPar &c)?
We can provide alternate shipping options on request, however these carriers are not covered under our regular shipping rates and would include additional fees.
We will continue to provide quick and timely fulfillment of orders during this period and appreciate our customer's patience and understanding.
Thanks,
401 Games Shipping Team
