Riftbound: Radiance Alt Arts: The Cards Collectors Need to See
Riftbound: Radiance is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Riftbound sets for collectors, especially if you're here for alt arts and Showcase cards. Releasing October 23, 2026, the new Riftbound: League of Legends set features 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards with alternate artwork, special treatments, and some seriously gorgeous designs.
If there’s one thing that can convince me to collect a card game I barely know how to play, it’s good artwork. And with Riftbound: Radiance, there’s already plenty to look at.
More Than Just Another Alt Art
Alt arts are one of my favourite parts of collecting TCGs. Sometimes, the regular card is perfectly fine, but then an alternate version comes along and suddenly it's the only one you want.
Radiance features several Showcase treatments, including Alt Arts, Special Alt Arts, Overnumbered cards, Signature cards, and Alt Art Runes. The set also brings back the popular Crystal Rose-inspired Special Alt Art treatment from Vendetta.
One of the highlights is the Heartsteel Overnumbered cards, which give the group a modern fashion makeover. If you're a fan of League of Legends' virtual boy band, these are definitely worth checking out.
It's the kind of release that makes you want to collect cards based on the artwork alone, whether you're building a competitive deck or just looking for your next binder addition.

The Ultimate Chase Card
Of course, the alternate arts aren't the only thing collectors have their eyes on.
Radiance introduces Riftbound's second Ultimate Rare, and Riot is making this one even harder to find than the Baron from Unleashed.
The estimated pull rate is approximately 0.025% per booster pack across the entire print run. There are no guarantees of finding one in a pack, box, or even a full case.
So if you pull one, congratulations. I am officially jealous.
Why I'm So Hyped for Radiance
What I really like about Radiance is that it feels like there's something here for different kinds of Riftbound fans.
If you're competitive, you've got new cards and mechanics to experiment with. If you're a League fan, there are a ton of Champions and artwork to get excited about. And if you're like me and can spend an embarrassing amount of time organizing a binder, the Showcase cards are probably going to be the biggest temptation.
With 66 Showcase cards in a 180-card set, Radiance is shaping up to be a seriously fun set to collect.
And considering we haven't even seen everything yet...
I'm already trying not to think about how many packs I'm going to open.
And if you want to get your hands on the set before release, 401 Games will be hosting a Pre-Rift event during the week leading up to launch, giving you a chance to play with Radiance before everyone else. And that's not all — we've also got a $5,000 Riftbound event coming up, so if you're looking to put your new cards to the test, you'll want to keep an eye out for that announcement.
Riftbound: Radiance releases October 23, 2026. In the meantime, I'm going to be figuring out which Showcase cards are making it into my binder... and trying not to think about how many packs I'm going to open.
Riftbound: Radiance releases October 23, 2026. Good luck to all of us.
