POTENTIAL CANADA POST STRIKE

Update June 6th:  Canada Post continues to operate while talks with CUPW are ongoing. In order to offer our customers the most options for shipments we are re-enabling Canada Post for some shipments and re-enabling our Free Letter Mail and Reduced Rate Letter Mail options for TCG Singles orders. We will continue to monitor the situation and will make any updates here as needed.

Update May 23rd: Canada Post continues to operate as CUPW initiates strike action with national overtime ban. Canada Post will continue operating but customers may experience delays. It’s unclear how CUPW’s strike action may evolve. At this time, there are no rotating strikes or national work stoppage. You can read Canada Post's statement here.

With this in mind we will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as necessary to make sure orders continue to arrive as quickly as possible.

Update May 20th: Canada Post received strike notices from CUPW yesterday indicating their intentions to begin strike activity as of Friday, May 23 at 12:00 am local time, unless the parties reach agreements before then. You can read Canada Post's statement here.

With this in mind we have already switched to exclusively using UPS and other alternative carriers for all sealed product orders and orders containing sealed and TCG singles.

For orders containing only TCG singles we have decided to preemptively suspend our Free Letter Mail and Reduced Rate Letter Mail options for the duration of the strike. We have lowered our threshold for free tracked shipping on TCG singles orders to $75 while letter mail delivery is not an option. We will resume these shipping options once we are confident customers will be able to receive their orders again in a timely fashion.

Important Information Regarding the potential Canada Post Strike

To our Valued Patrons! There is a possible service disruption looming with Canada Post that could go into effect later this month (as of May 22nd a labour disruption could occur.)

We have taken all necessary steps to ensure that there are no delays with processing your orders and minimal delays with delivery times - we will be using UPS and other alternative carriers.

There are limitations delivering to PO Boxes and Isolated shipping areas, so please ensure you provide an accurate direct shipping address until the potential disruption is confirmed to be resolved. If you are ok with waiting until the potential strike is concluded, we can always hold your order until then.

If you currently have a pre-order with us that needs to have the shipping address updated due to the strike prior to the products release, you can contact our customer service team and they will be more than happy to assist with those changes so there is no delay with your order.

We have temporarily disabled the Express Shipping Service for Singles orders. We will enable the service again once everything is resolved.

We will continue to update this page as we receive any new information.

Below are some of the questions we anticipate you having and our plans and policies for the duration of the strike.

Q: How will you be shipping orders during the strike? Should I expect delays?

Orders made with our regular expedited shipping option will be shipped via UPS. Longer delivery times are expected during the strike due to increased volumes for UPS.

Q: Will I still be able to ship orders with the Letter Mail shipping option?

We have suspended our Free Letter Mail and Reduced Rate Letter Mail options for the duration of the strike. We have lowered our threshold for free tracked shipping on TCG singles orders to $75 while letter mail delivery is not an option.

Q: My order is already in the mail, what is going to happen to it?

Orders currently out for delivery with Canada Post will be delayed during the national strike. They will be delivered as quickly as possible on a first-in, first-out basis once operations resume.

Q: One of my orders was placed for shipping but hasn't been fulfilled yet. Can I change my delivery method to in-store pick-up?

We will do our best to switch delivery method for any order that has not been picked up but some orders may not be retrievable for our shipping team. Send any request for change of delivery method to us via email at shipping@401games.ca with the order number and preferred location for pick-up.

Q: Can I request an alternate shipping method (FedEx, CanPar &etc)?

We can provide alternate shipping options on request, however these carriers are not covered under our regular shipping rates and would include additional fees.

We will continue to provide quick and timely fulfillment of orders during this period and appreciate our customer's patience and understanding.

Thank you all for being incredible patrons and for your continued support!
