Gundam GD06: What to Know About Stardust Trails Before Release
The next Gundam Card Game booster set is almost here! Stardust Trails [GD06] releases on October 30, 2026, bringing new Mobile Suits, characters, and cards to explore.
Following Freedom Ascension [GD05], Stardust Trails adds 135 card types plus eight token cards. Each booster pack comes with 12 cards, including Commons, Uncommons, Rares, Legend Rares, and Special cards.
But GD06 isn't just about adding more cards. One of the most exciting things about Stardust Trails is the arrival of two Gundam series making their Gundam Card Game debut, giving fans new characters and Mobile Suits to discover.
Two Gundam Series Join the Battle
Stardust Trails officially introduces ''Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ'' and ''Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory'' to the Gundam Card Game.
That makes GD06 especially interesting for fans who have been waiting to see characters and Mobile Suits from these series represented in the game.
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ continues the Universal Century story following Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, while Stardust Memory takes players to the conflict surrounding the Gundam Development Project between the events of the original Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta Gundam.
Their arrival isn't just about adding familiar faces to collections. New series mean new Units, Pilots and potential interactions for players to experiment with as they figure out where GD06 cards fit alongside existing decks.
Cards We're Watching in Stardust Trails
Bandai is still revealing cards from GD06 ahead of release, but Stardust Trails is already giving players plenty to look forward to.
One card to watch is Gundam GP01Fb, a blue Legend Rare from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. As one of the new Mobile Suits joining the game with GD06, it brings another option for players looking to explore the new cards and strategies introduced in the set.
Another recent reveal is Altron Gundam (EW), a white Legend Rare with Blocker. When your opponent has a Lv. 5 or higher Unit in play, Altron Gundam (EW) can gain additional AP, making it an interesting defensive option to consider.
And these are only a few of the cards joining Stardust Trails. With more of the set being showcased ahead of release, players will have plenty of new Units, Pilots and combinations to explore when GD06 arrives.
What Could GD06 Mean for the Game?
A new booster set is always more than a new group of cards to collect. For players, part of the fun is figuring out how those cards interact with everything that came before them.
GD06 arrives only a few months after Freedom Ascension [GD05] and shortly after the September release of four Starter Decks: Aquatic Assault [ST11], Raging Onslaught [ST12], Silent Barrage [ST13] and Heavy Dominion [ST14].
That gives players several recent strategies to experiment with as Stardust Trails enters the card pool. Some GD06 cards may strengthen existing decks, while others could encourage completely different builds around the newly introduced characters and Mobile Suits.
Bandai is even putting that deck-building experimentation at the centre of a special GD06 New Set Constructed Deck Event, where players must build decks containing at least 20 cards from Stardust Trails. The event is scheduled to run from October 31 through November 15 at participating BANDAI TCG+ stores.
Getting Ready for Stardust Trails
With Stardust Trails releasing October 30, we're now in the final stretch before GD06 hits North America.
There's still more of the set to see, which means the picture could change considerably as additional cards are revealed. Whether you're interested in upgrading a deck, trying something completely new, or simply collecting cards featuring your favourite Gundam series, GD06 gives players another reason to keep an eye on the Gundam Card Game this October.
