We're excited to announce that 401 Games has been given the privilege of running a test event in collaboration with Bandai Organized Play - a large offline One Piece event with Regionals prizing and 8 invites to Nationals on the line! We hope that this will be the first of many, and can't wait to see you there!
Date: Saturday, March 23rd 2024
Venue: Montecassino Hotel and Event Centre, 3710 Chesswood Dr, North York, ON M3J 2W4
Entry Fee: $40 CAD
Start Time: Round 1 begins at 10:00 AM sharp, doors will open at 9:00 AM
Capacity: 384 players - this is a hard cap
Format:
Offline Regionals format - 9 rounds of best of 1 Swiss (or until there is a single undefeated player)
OP06 and ST12 will be legal at this event!
Prizing:
Regionals prizing, from participation to winner promos - specific details can be found here!
Top 8 players will also receive an invite to One Piece Nationals.
Decklists:
Decklists must be submitted online (details to follow) with a hard deadline of 9pm EST on Friday, March 22nd (the night before the event). Late submissions will be subject to a penalty of a round 1 loss.
Registration:
Registration will open at Noon EST on Sunday, February 25th. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth experience and to maximize your chance of successfully registering for this event, as we expect it to hit its cap almost immediately:
- Register for an account at 401games.ca if you have not already done so
- Ensure that you are signed in to that account before registration opens
- At 12:00pm EST on Sunday, February 25th, this link will become active: Registration Link
- Click that link - if you are logged in, it will send you to a checkout page with two items in your cart: the event ticket, and a waitlist
- Check out as quickly as possible - if you have Shop Pay or PayPal, those two express check out options are enabled
- If the event ticket is sold out, remove it from your cart and check out with the waitlist item in your cart
We will email registered players in the weeks leading up to the event with instructions on how to join the event on Best Coast Pairings, as well as other reminders.
If you were not able to register for the main event in time, checking out with the waitlist item in your cart gives us your name and contact info in chronological order. In the event of cancelations before the week of the event, we will contact people who have checked out with this item in their cart in order via email - if you do not respond within 12 hours, you will be removed from the waitlist and we will move to the next entry.
If there are last-minute cancelations or no-shows at the event itself, players on this waitlist will be prioritized - however we cannot guarantee you a spot, as the player cap of 384 is a hard cap and cannot be changed for any reason.
